The John Jay Institute Opens A
Second location: Gillam Manor
About the Gillam Manor Campus
The John Jay Institute is excited to announce the opening of a second campus this Fall! Located less than a mile from our first campus in Langhorne, PA, this beautiful home, which we call Gillam Manor (since it is located on Gillam Avenue) will eventually house up to 12 additional John Jay Fellows.
This second campus marks the successful completion of the Institute’s Courage & Character Campaign, which the Institute embarked on in 2021. The goal of this campaign was to triple the number of John Jay Fellows each year, increasing from 8 Fellows to 24 each semester. The opening of this second location has allowed us to do just that.
The second cohort of John Jay Fellows, starting in Fall of 2024, will be given the same excellent academic, spiritual, and interpersonal growth opportunities as the first. The cohort will eventually consist of 6 men and 6 women of various Christian faith traditions. While the Fellows will share common living and cooking/eating spaces (including shared family dinners each weeknight), the men’s and women’s bathrooms and sleeping quarters will be on separate floors of the home.
The Gillam Avenue house is located less than a mile from the Fairview Manor location. Fellows will enjoy the amenities/benefits that Cairn University students have, including use of the fitness center, library, tennis courts, coffee shop, and dining hall (where all-you-can-eat lunch is less than $5). Located in a beautiful and safe area, students will enjoy time on the porch reading or walks around the neighborhood, just as our Fairview Manor Fellows do.
Gillam Manor Campus Program Director
We are thrilled to announce Dr. Megan Brand as the leader of our second Fellows cohort at the Gillam Manor campus. As an alumna of the Witherspoon Fellowship (predecessor of the John Jay Fellowship), Dr. Brand brings a great academic pedigree, a love of learning and a passion for helping to educate and prepare the next generation of Christian Leaders.
Photos of Gillam Manor
Built in 1908 and renovated in 2024, Gillam Manor beautifully blends historic charm with modern amenities and provides the same John Jay “vibe” as does Fairview Manor. If you are a friend of the Institute and would like a tour of the new house, please let Rachel know and she or Greg will meet you there. Thank you for your support of the John Jay Institute and of our growth!
