Alexandra Adair comes from a small town near Pinehurst, North Carolina, where she worked as a server and barista to save up for school. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in just two years, majoring in public health with a nutrition focus and minoring in neuroscience. She recently moved to Washington, D.C., to further her graduate studies and work for a consulting company dealing with food additive regulation.
While in Chapel Hill, she served as treasurer of her community government and as a member of a special board given the authority to decide upon how the college should award its student grant budget. During both years in college, she provided assistantship in conducting research for doctoral students assessing the monetary impact of food policy changes, both locally and internationally, as part of the Global Food Research Program. She spent her summer engaged in community work, leading nutrition education classes for elementary students, and was appointed Co-Senior VP of the Carolina Health Samaritan Society in her final semester.
Inspired by a "Christian birthright" trip to Israel for college students, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in nutritional epidemiology from George Washington University, aiming to focus on the intersection between religion and health behavior. Currently, Alexandra is a member of the Philos Leadership Institute, where she has further developed a passion for understanding Israel-US relations and leading other Christians into a deeper appreciation of the Jewish people and the Hebraic worldview.
After moving to D.C., Alexandra became involved in the political world and dedicated time to attending lectures, meetings, and related events to increase her understanding of the issues plaguing our time. Recent developments have impacted her path and led her toward the John Jay Fellowship, after which she intends to work in pursuit of a reinvigorated American appreciation of the worldview at the heart of its founding, in whatever manner God calls her.
