Executive Producer, iostudio Advertising
Witherspoon Fellow
Although he has a bachelor’s degree in Physics from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Vanderbilt University, Paul Padgett’s career has taken him in surprising directions as a freelance writer and film director.
Paul now serves as Executive Producer for iostudio Advertising, a company that uses strategy and creativity to assist clients in a number of media. His work finds him frequently in the field with the Army National Guard and the U.S. Marines Special Operations, creating film and editorial content to support their missions of recruitment and retention.
How did he get there? In part because his time in the Witherspoon Fellowship inspired his pursuit of the moral imagination. After his tenure in D.C., he helmed musical acts that opened for Emmylou Harris and were featured by NPR.org. His films have won numerous awards in the entertainment and advertising industries, including a Special Selection at South by Southwest and a Gold Record. He, his wife Maggie, and two sons live in Nashville, Tennessee, where they are active parishioners of St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows.
