Assistant Regional Manager of Major Gift Planning, The Heritage Foundation
John Jay Fellow
“The John Jay Institute is the single best thing that has ever happened to me,” says Heather.
She explains that the solid foundation of principles that she formed at the John Jay Institute has helped prepare her for the dizzying web of public policy development work—and the experience of the Fellows Program prepared her to lead by giving her the opportunity to serve others. With a bachelor’s degree in Theology from Villanova University, she has taken her leadership training into the D.C. fundraising scene, where her servant’s approach and boundless energy have served her well. Her Institute externship placed her in the major gifts office of The Heritage Foundation, from whence she was quickly hired by the Leadership Institute as a regional development officer.
Traveling the country, meeting movers and shakers all over the West, her impressive performance got her a job offer from Heritage, as Assistant Regional Manager in major gift planning. In her job, she seeks to connect people who are passionate about improving the country with the organizations and programs that are working towards their desired ends.
