Degree: B.S. Marine and Environmental Science
Abby is a 2017 Honors Graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a degree in Marine and Environmental Science. Abby served on the Academy Regimental Staff in the spring of 2017 and received awards upon graduation for her achievements in physics, astronomy, and institutional service to the Academy. Throughout her Academy career, she was involved in the CGA chapter of the Officer’s Christian Fellowship serving as president her First Class year. Abby was also involved with the Glee Club, Aviation Club, Model United Nations team, and cadet blog program.
Upon completion of the Saratoga Fellowship, Abby will be reporting to flight school in Pensacola, FL. After her career as a Coast Guard pilot, she is discerning possible callings as a missionary pilot or educator. Abby is thrilled to be with the six other fellows this summer and is striving to better understand the history of the Christian faith and how it overlaps with the history of the nation. She hopes to leave the program with the ability to implement sound principles for character and service in Christ’s strength through an individual relationship with him and strategic relationships with the Christian community.
