Hometown: Iron Mountain, Michigan
College: United States Coast Guard Academy
Degree: B.S. Mechanical Engineering
In May of 2017, Keith graduated with honors receiving a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy. His service at the academy was most highly noted by his commitment to excellence and Christian ministry. Due to Keith’s outstanding academic achievements, he was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta society. His professional presence was demonstrated around the campus as he was engaged in most Christian ministries, leading the Cadet Memorial Chapel Praise Team during all four years at the Academy.
Keith is excited to participate in the Saratoga Fellowship to better understand the role of a Christian leader in today’s society. His interests include working in the local community and his Coast Guard unit to foster a positive and active Christian atmosphere. He is particularly excited to create a Bible study aboard his cutter, mentor young adults in the community, and serve as a worship leader in his Church. At the conclusion of the Saratoga Fellows Program, Keith will be reporting to the USCGC ALDER in Duluth, Minnesota where he hopes to apply the principles learned and share the knowledge gained while at the John Jay Institute.
