Wesley Hodges
2017 John Jay Fellow
Hometown: Houston, Texas
College: Baylor University
Degree: B.B.A. Economics
Concentrating in economics, political science, and philosophy, Wesley Hodges graduated from Baylor University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration through the Baylor Business Fellows and Baylor Interdisciplinary Core programs. While at Baylor, he had the privilege to serve as President of the Student body, leading campus efforts to protect religious liberty and improve job placement rates.
After graduation, Wes accepted the position of Chief Administrative Officer at the mid-sized Texas law firm Gray Reed & McGraw, P.C., working directly with its President, Directors, and Chief Operating Officer. Wesley’s unique blend of academic, extracurricular, and professional experiences forged his commitment to improve complex organizations by grounding them on enduring selfless principles and inspired in him a love for meaningful advocacy. Most important to him, however, is the faith-based paradigm he has adopted: to pursue what is right regardless of the circumstances or the consequences.
Wes is looking forward to honing his writing, further developing his leadership skills, and enjoying the community at the John Jay Institute this Spring. He has confidence that the fellowship will further equip him for his law school career and position him to become an exemplary attorney and leader in his community.
