Andrew Graham
Spring 2025 John Jay Fellow
Hometown: Dallas, TX
College: Covenant College
Degree: B.A. Biblical and Theological Studies, Minor in Sociology
Andrew Graham is a 2024 graduate of Covenant College with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and a minor in Sociology.
During his time at Covenant, Andrew competed on the Men’s Tennis Team (2020-23) and served with the youth ministries of First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga (as a volunteer), and at Grace+Peace Church (as an intern).
He counts his fondest memories from his time in college as serving as a summer youth ministry intern at All Saints Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, for the past three summers. It was during this time that he felt his internal call to ministry begin to become clear as he was able to form great relationships with students and also be mentored by incredible pastors and ministry leaders.
Andrew will be the first to tell you that he is an academic by necessity, not by choice. He views academics as a necessary part of helping people understand Christianity, the Scriptures, and themselves in relation to the world around them, but not as the most important aspect of being in ministry. He has a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, the church, and people, and he is passionate about creating spaces where people can not just be seen but also feel known. In those places, Andrew hopes and prays that people will experience the grace and peace of Jesus Christ, and the internal freedom that He gives to those who will put their faith and trust in Him.
Upon completion of the John Jay Fellowship Program, Andrew will serve as an intern for Reformed University Fellowship, the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), at the University of Oklahoma for two years, and hopes to attend seminary in the hopes of becoming an ordained minister in the PCA in the future.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys pretending that he is still as good at tennis as he was in college, watching and following sports, and exploring new coffee shops.
Andrew is confident that his time at the John Jay Institute will help him gain new and fresh perspectives on the world that God has created, which will in turn help him as he ministers to people with many different stories and backgrounds in the future.
