Seven Franklin graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University in May of 2024 with a B.A. in Political Science. As a member of Baylor’s Honors College, he acquired a passion for political philosophy and liberal education. As a student, he was a writer for The Standard and participated in a reading group that focused on the philosophy of education. During his time in the Baylor in Washington Fall 2022 cohort, Seven served as a legislative intern for Representative Michael McCaul. For his senior thesis, he analyzed the search for self-knowledge in the early essays of James Baldwin.

Outside of school, Seven is an active member of his local church. He serves in the middle school ministry as a lead teacher on Sundays. He also leads a young adult Bible study. In his free time, he enjoys walking, lifting weights, and reading.

After completing the John Jay Fellowship, Seven intends on working in Washington D.C. for a think tank. Eventually, he plans on attending graduate school for a PhD in political theory.
