The name Jesse means “Yahweh is”. The same could be said about his life—itself a testament to the reality of a God who is gracious, kind, and holy. Jesse’s childhood was surrounded by a family and a church that loved Jesus and encouraged his faith. It was also surrounded by a playground of God’s creation that built in him a spirit of adventure—one that led him to a career in the U.S. Military. Attending college at Biola University, his study of Physics was secondary to Biola’s curriculum of Biblical Studies, consistent opportunities for growth in Christ, and community of young, genuine Jesus-followers.
Jesse commissioned in May 2021 as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. A host of leadership opportunities in his cadet career taught him the power of humility, the implementation of grace and truth, and the calling for Kingdom citizens to walk in excellence. The Saratoga Program’s alignment with these very tenets convinced Jesse to apply to the program, and will now prepare him further for a life of service beginning at Vance Air Force Base, where he will report for Pilot Training.
