2016 Saratoga Fellow
Robert Collin Scarborough, 2nd Lieutenant, United States Army
Hometown: Macon, Georgia
College: The Citadel
Degree: B.A. English
Collin is a 2016 graduate of the Citadel, where he majored in English with a French minor. While at the Citadel, Collin served as a Cadre Squad Leader, the principle instructor to new cadets, earning him the Most Influential Upperclassman Award from his peers. He also served as the Regimental Religious Officer and Cadet Chaplain to the Corps of Cadets, the Company Honor Representative, and the Platoon Sergeant during his career at the Citadel.
Collin’s parents fostered his perspective as an international citizen from an early age, and he began traveling internationally at age 11. His interest in travel combined with his faith spurred an interest in developing methods to foster a faith based service platform outside the continental United States.
As a Saratoga Fellow, Collin seeks to deepen his faith and to integrate it with his desire to lead in the United States Army. His desire is for further divinity studies and a possible career as a Chaplain in the Armed Forces.
