Paul Danielson
2016 Saratoga Fellow
Paul Danielson, 2nd Lieutenant, United States Air Force
Hometown: Fairfax, Virginia
College: Cedarville University
Major: Chemistry
With a degree in Chemistry, a minor in French, and a minor in Biblical Studies Paul graduated with honors from Cedarville University where he was commissioned as a second lieutenant through the Air Force ROTC program. He was the Cornielius Leadership Scholarship award winner and also a two-time winner of the AFROTC Meritorious Service Award.
Raised in a evangelical Christian home, Paul’s family and life experiences helped shape his mindset to believe that his life purpose is to bring glory and honor to God in all he does and share the good news about Jesus Christ to others. His father’s service in the Air Force brought their family to many exciting places. These cultures and experiences significantly shaped Paul’s desire to travel and serve others around the world and eventually influenced his decision to pursue a career in the Air Force himself.
Paul has diligently sought to grow in his spiritual life through interfacing with Godly mentors, learning from daily chapel speakers, and participating in regular worship. He hopes to continue his spiritual growth, character development, and leadership ability through the John Jay Saratoga Fellows program, and to apply all that he learns in both his personal and professional life as a pilot in the United States Air Force. He and his future wife will be stationed at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi for pilot training.
