She graduated as a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society and the Baconian Society, and was awarded the “Most Outstanding Junior” after the completion of her junior year.
As an undergraduate, Ashley was a member of Franciscan’s premier leadership program, the Center for Leadership, and spent her first two years playing NCAA softball, completing her sophomore year as team captain. She was also a member of Love of the Lamb Household, the Political Science Association, Students for Life, and Intercollegiate Defense of Equality and Solidarity (I.D.E.A.S.--a group that campaigns for life and traditional values at the United Nations). Ashley also held multiple jobs on campus throughout her undergraduate years. She had the privilege of interning for Congressman Keith Rothfus, a brief stint interning at the White House, and the honor of representing Franciscan University at the 2019 West Point Conference on U.S. Affairs.
Ashley is currently in the process of earning her Master’s in Catholic Studies from Franciscan University. After her time at the John Jay Institute, she hopes to finish her Master’s program studying abroad at Franciscan’s Austrian campus-- the Kartause Maria Thronus Iesu, a 14th-century restored monastery nestled in the Austrian Alps where she also studied abroad as an undergraduate. After completing her Master’s degree, Ashley hopes to continue her education pursuing a PhD in Political Philosophy so that she can fulfill her dream of becoming one of the all-too-few college professors who teaches that faith and reason can seamlessly work together to help us discern the truth in all circumstances.
