Hometown: Elk Grove, CA
College: Biola University
Degree: B.A., Political Science

Haneen Razzouk is a northern California native who graduated Summa Cum Laude in the Spring of 2022 from Biola University, with a B.A. in political science as a student of the Torrey Honors College.

During her time at Biola University, Haneen was a member of the American Enterprise Institute Council for all four years, taking the position of Council Chair her sophomore year. She led the council to conferences, through book clubs, and hosted prominent scholars on issues of faith and public life. In her final semester she hosted Dr. Paul Miller on the topic of Just War and Ordered Liberty in light of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Her passion for communication and dialogue led her to establish two podcasts, one personal podcast titled “A Jew and a Gentile'', where she and her co-host discussed the ways in which different cultural artifacts such as films, political movements, albums, etc. are a means of God’s grace and sanctification. Haneen also established, produced, and directed an internal podcast for the international crises aid non-profit, Samaritan’s Purse, on issues such as the anti-human trafficking initiative the organization started in Myanmar.

In 2020, Haneen published an article on her experience as a Jewish-Palestinian Christian, and her opinion on the religious-political conflict. She is passionate about understanding issues as such through the lenses of story, philosophy, theology, and culture.

In her free time Haneen enjoys international travel, backpacking, cooking, and conversation!

Upon completion of the John Jay Institute she hopes to work in either the non-profit or policy realm researching and advocating for the issues of modern poverty and welfare reform.
