Jason Shaver, Jr. received his B. A. from Palm Beach Atlantic University in May 2022. Jason studied Politics and graduated from the Frederick M. Supper Honors program, where he read and studied the Great Books of Western Civilization.  Jason enjoyed taking classes in American Government, Constitutional Law, Political Theory, and the intersection of Christianity and Politics.

While in college, Jason was inducted into the National Political Science Honor Society and was a member of the President’s Lyceum, a small group of students selected to meet and talk with leaders in politics and business. During his sophomore year of college, Jason served as Secretary of the Palm Beach Atlantic College Republicans and was a member of the Student Government.  Jason was on the Speech and Debate Team for two and a half years, competing in state and national tournaments. Jason also served as a First Year Experience Peer Mentor during his junior year. In this role, he helped guide students through their first year of college.

During his junior year, Jason placed 3rd in the persuasive speaking category at a tournament at the University of West Florida. During his senior year, he served as a Resident Assistant in Watson Hall and was also a student worker in the Advancement Office. In between school years, Jason worked at the family business to help pay for his schooling.

When his time at the John Jay Institute ends, Jason would like to work for political and legal organizations, legislators, political candidates, and non-profits that promote pro-life policies, advance religious liberty, and defend the Constitution. While working, he is planning on going to graduate school to pursue a master’s degree in government or a law degree.

In his free time, Jason loves to read and spend time with his girlfriend, family, and friends.
