Sierra Christensen

Fall 2024 John Jay Fellow

Hometown: Prescott, AZ
College: Biola University
Degree: B.A. in Political Science, Torrey Honors College

Sierra Christensen is from Prescott, Arizona where she attended a small classical school from kindergarten through her senior year.

In the spring of 2024, Sierra graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Political Science. She was also a member of the Torrey Honors College where students read and discuss a variety of classic texts in the western canon. Sierra graduated from the honors college in the Order of Peter and Paul (a distinction given to graduates in the top 10% of their class) and received the G. Campbell Morgan Award for Christian scholarship, service, and character.

While studying Political Science, Sierra found a home in the field of political theory, focusing the majority of her research projects on the strength of public virtue, civility, and the health of community. During her time at Biola, Sierra resolved to bring her research interests into practical application as she engaged in extracurricular programs with the American Enterprise Institute, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and the Witherspoon Institute.

In her free time, Sierra enjoys baking, hosting dinner parties with friends, and spending time outdoors with her golden retriever. Upon completing her fellowship at the John Jay Institute, Sierra is contracted to begin teaching 8th grade history and 11th grade philosophy, and is considering attending graduate school for political theory.
